Annie Lennox
| Annie Lennox born December 25 in 1954. She was born in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox was awarded a scholarship to study at the London's Royal Academy of Music for 3 years. Lennox's budget was increased by a stipend for students as well as part-time employment. Lennox was a student at the Royal Academy of Music in London, was unhappy with her performance in comparison to her classmates. Then she began to consider alternatives. Lennox started her professional career in the year 1976 when she joined a band called Dragons Playground. She quit the band before New Faces, the I.T.V. talent competition. She was the main vocalist for The Tourists a British pop group from 1977 until the year 1980. She began to meet Dave Stewart, with whom formed the pop-duo Eurythmics. Lennox then began to work on her debut solo album Diva that was out around 1992. It received lots of praise, both from the press and critics. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album as a solo artist was released in October of 2014. The C.D. Lennox has picked her most favored jazz, blues and soul tunes. Lepidoptera includes four keyboard improvised tracks. The E.P. The E.P. is her debut independent album and a companion to an art installation she designed at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called Now I Let You Go... Annie Lennox is a Scottish singer and songwriter who was born on December 25th 1954. The Tourists had a minor hit in late 1970s. Lennox as well as Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, would go on to gain international recognition in the 1980s as the Eurythmics. Lennox started her solo career in 1992, with the release of Diva, which featured many of her most popular songs like Why as well as walking on Broken Glass. Medusa the 1995 studio album that features cover versions of popular songs such as No More I Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. Her solo catalog includes six studio albums and one compilation album to her credit. |
